HISA Annual Appeal 2023

From our E-Learning Center to our borehole providing water to our crops and the community to keeping our Soup Kitchen up and running - reliable power is elemental in our ability to provide hope and support in the Richmond Community.

Power Up Hope in 2023!

Greetings Friends of Hope in South Africa!

We were thrilled to complete the much needed kitchen renovation and installation of fencing last year. Thank you for being our "Construction Crew 2022" and graciously supporting our efforts. The investment you made enabled us to create a more spacious, efficient and workable area for our kitchen staff, provided more secure storage for our food supplies and engendered a sense of pride in a location where we provided just shy of 65,000 meals.

This year we are focused on improving a different component of our infrastructure. Will you Power Up Hope in 2023?

Our goal is to raise $35,000 to support our efforts to install reliable power backup at our Community Center.

Currently, pun intended, our electricity supply is horrendous. If you've been following us, you know that we completed the upgrade and rebuilt our E-Learning Center in 2021 and provided learning opportunities via 40 computer workstations and improved Internet connectivity.

What you may not know is that our power can go on hiatus for upwards of 6 hours per day! With a new water supply, new technology and new freezers and refrigerators to store meat and produce for our Soup Kitchen, an interrupted power supply is not our friend. Our Richmond Team identified these power needs and expressed the necessity when we held our board meeting this January.

Please know that your gift will go a long way towards meeting our infrastructure goals and our long-term commitment toward improving the quality of life in Richmond.

Become a part of Hope in South Africa's Power Up Hope in 2023!

Again, we appreciate your investment in our work.
